A growing problem

The actual number of people with some form of food allergy is probably a lot higher. The proper diagnosis is missing quite often; many do not even know “where these complaints are coming from.” The scientists’ estimates a range from 20 to 30% of the population in Western Europe had food allergy or intolerance, as shown in publications of the leading trade journal “Nutrinews”. That number is only increasing. So this is a growing problem where many people suffer from, but why are there so few safe alternatives?
