Carefree enjoyment of your trip: Tips for a gluten-free day out

A day out to an amusement park can be a fun and exciting experience, but for people with celiac disease or a gluten-free diet, it can also be a challenge to find suitable food. Fortunately, there are now more and more amusement parks that take into account guests with a gluten-free diet. In this article, we discuss some tips and tricks for eating gluten-free in an amusement park.

  1. Do your research (check our selling points)
Before heading to an amusement park, it's a good idea to check online to see what gluten-free options are available. On our sales points page you will also find amusement parks, zoos, playgrounds and days out where you can eat our products. Sometimes some amusement parks have a special menu or allergen guide that you can find online. Can you book in advance in the catering facility of the park in question? Then that's a good idea! Ask if gluten-free options are available and how the staff handles cross-contamination.
  2. Ask for advice
When you arrive at a theme park restaurant, ask for advice on gluten-free options. The staff is trained to take allergies and dietary requirements seriously and can help you choose suitable dishes. It's also a good idea to ask if separate pans and utensils are used for gluten-free dishes. Before we list a point of sale on our website, we always check whether the park can bake gluten-free, but it never hurts to ask for this during your visit.
There are also many Facebook groups in which people give tips and advice about gluten-free options and their experiences in amusement parks. For example, the following groups can be found; Coeliakie/glutenvrij, Glutenvrij in België en Coeliakie bij kinderen en ouders
  3. Enjoy your day!
With these tips and tricks, you can hopefully enjoy your day at the theme park without worrying about gluten-free options. Don't forget to relax and have fun on your day out!
